Italian Meatballs

This is my recipe for trying to replicate my Grandma's meatballs. I always preferred when they were fried, but I now liked the baked version more.

  1. Chop up the bread into small pieces and soak in water for 15 minutes.
  2. Combine all ingredients but the bread.
  3. Before adding the bread squeeze out as much of the water as you can
  4. Mix all ingredients (but don't work it to much). If the mixture isn't coming together add some breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry up a small piece to taste for seasoning. Add more salt, pepper, and seasoning (garlic, cheese, etc) as you see fit.
  6. Form them into balls and fry in 325 degree oil or bake at 400 until the internal temperature reads 165.
